Salisbury

Sals Trail Maintenance - this Wednesday 5/13 canceled

Short notice but a few of us are gonna work over at Sals touching up one of the berm turns. Meet up at the middle
lot on Constitution. The work area is on the lower red trail. We're gonna do stuff like dig up and transport clay dirt and tamp it down on the turn. We have a few tools but we'll use McClouds, Mattocks, shovel, buckets and maybe a wheelbarrow or tamper if you wanna bring some.

new to MTB

Im new to biking, im 40 and wondering if each section of sal's has a different degree off difficulty. I did the yellow loop today and i thought some of it was tough especially around the rocks. Can anyone help me out by telling if its easier or harder in a different section

Sals Peak trail

Here's another google Earth map with color lines squiggled on it showing some trail ideas for Sals. The dashed purple one is what I'm interested in building. Most of this has been hiked out and rather interesting.

Of course, since Sals already has a long loop, you have to be careful when adding any new trails so that it doesn't end up being spidered. That plus making sure what you build adds to the loops as we ride them now are important considerations.

Map Update?

Are the Sals maps up to date? We seemed to be slightly lost on the north side of where red cuts across the road. There was a loop around some fun rock slab and berms. We came back around only to find ourselves at the beginning of the loop again. I didn't see this on the map so I was wondering if there is an update or a map I'm not seeing.

Blue trail switchback

Started doing some more switchback work over at Sals today. I guess this one is the first one you hit on the blue trail when you peel off of the Spanky. Now that I look at this one it looks like it has some of the same features(that suck) of the one i just worked on.
