Anyone feel like clearing that tree on the orange at Sals?
Anyone feel like clearing that tree on the orange at Sals?
fyi. another big tree down on orange. about the middle of the trail not far from mickey mouse.
The boxes for the kiosk have been installed. They are locked with a combination padlock on the Dodson field box and on the lower parking lot box. The box at the top of Cardinal Drive is closed with a rubber band but has a hasp like they all do. Please advise what the club wants to do about securing these and if sombody wants me to remove the locks that are now on them. As always, I live here, so call me at 610 867 3924 and I can almost give you immediate service. John Eberhard
I'd like to clear some of those trees that are down at Sals. Anyone around Bethlehem have a chainsaw I can use Thursday? Spanky?
thanks to whoever put up the little orange flags with the BEE alert at sals!! really great. those bees are hungry
Does anybody like riding in the morning? I work at 10, M-Sat and want to ride more and morning is the only time I have. I must admit I don't ride Sals enough to know which way I can go and still get to work on time. I'm thinking about riding at 7. Anyone an early riser that wants to go to Sals?
wow. i mostly come from the bmx scene,(ie jumping dirt) and was comfortable with riding places such as posh, riverside and steel city. never really rode MB trails like this. pretty technical stuff let me tell you. prob the best cardio ive had in a couple years lol. but i can mos def get into this more often. i didnt have enough time to do the orange route, but i did red both ways. pretty sick.
I was working again on the slalom turn tonight at Sals. This is a right turn that I was widening over the last few weeks. Now you'll have to take the wide line as the old line is closed off.I'm mentioning this because this section is quick and you can't see the turn until you're right on it because of the dense spice bush.
Have fun! Its still a little loose but should start to pack down pretty quickly.I'll make any adjustments if they are needed. The turn right after it is next...
Easy on the skid marks!
I'm gonna be over at Sals later this afternoon doing some trailwork . There are two areas we'll hit-the slalom and the berms for some touch ups. In between any pesky branches will get trimmed back. Starting from Dodson sometime around 3 (but you never know!).
If you're coming up old Yellow towards the baseball field...right before you up the hill to get up to the field there is a log you have to hop...before the log, to the left is new yellow, but to the right there seems to be a new trail, or a trail I never noticed before. Anyone know which I'm talking about? If you do, can you tell me where it goes?
