Don't know how many people almost wrecked themselves on the huge log that was down across the Sals super D trail dropping down from Constitution. I know I almost did and so did a few others. John went over this morning and cut it out just as an FYI if anyone else was planning on going over to do the same.

Does anyone know how the Natch-O trail is looking in terms of overgrowth? I haven't ridden it in about a week, but last time I did it was nonstop leaves and branches in my face. I was thinking about going out tomorrow and cutting back some of the overhang, but it's a little bit of a hike to get there, so if someone got to it already, I'll pass on the excursion.

PS - If i do go out, I will NOT be moving rocks, log overs, or any other intrinsic trail features!

Is it better to start with the upper or lower red? I am still a newbie and looking for the easier route, if there is one! There is something about those rocks though that keep me going back for more!! :ihih:

RIP uphill log just after the entrance to the luby land trail. You will forever hold a place in my heart as one of my first biggest challenges I encountered at sals when I first started mountain biking. Your legacy will not die as you will be replaced by something in your place that will be even harder and not so easily removed by the loser who does not want to challenge themselves, may you endo and flatten your face into a pile of rocks.

Was that a planned thing or a rogue individual? On Red. They're cut so that theres a foot or so wide chunk taken out but its cut so deep the part you ride over is only like 4 inches high

I just saw this posted a few minutes ago. The article says it won't affect the use of the park, but I think I'd like to see some maps showing just where they plan to put the power lines. Here's the link:

Park Rules have been added to the Salisbury Walking Purchase Park page (http://www.bikevmb.com/trail/walking-purchase-park-salisbury).

Hopefully this clarifies the new rules put into place earlier this year, including night riding rules.

Enforcement of these rules begins December 12, 2011.

FYI... The trailhead was blocked off by a tree trimmer service. Not sure it if was intential or not but this is the way they left it.
