DA Mark Hurlbert: Don't Drop Felony Charges Against Hit-and-Run Wealth Manager

On July 3, Steven Milo was riding his bicycle when he was allegedly struck from behind by wealth manager Martin Joel Erzinger. Rather than stop and call 911, or otherwise seek help for Dr. Milo, Erzinger fled the scene and called the Mercedes auto assistance service for help with his broken side mirror.

Now, Eagle County DA Mark Hurlbert is willing to drop felony charges against Erzinger, because he's worried that Erzinger may be unable to keep his job, where he is dedicated to "ultra high net worth individuals, their families and foundations."

Big Thanks!

Big thanks goes out to Cutters and Saucon Valley Bikes for making the bike rodeo at my kids' school such a success. Tons of kids showed up and had a great time. Each rider had their bikes checked for safety, got their helmets fitted properly or received brand new ones plus knee/elbow pads, got nice bike locks, and did some fun bike handling games with the Bethlehem P.D. A good day for kids' biking, for sure.

Parking at Saint Lukes

All,
I be out of touch with past posts but something came up today after my ride at Sals. I normally park at the Dialysis Center and ride in from there. As far as I can recall the parking lot is always a ghost town. Today it was the same, however the Saint Lukes Security guy came by and informed me that they do not want bikers parking there. The problem stems from early in the summer when for some reason the lot was full and there were a few cars with bike racks on them. The security guard asked that we park on the spots on the main drag before you enter Saint Lukes.

IMBA coming to Moosic mtn on Sept. 25-26th

Guys, save these dates if you're interested in learning to build trails and maintain some of your local stuff. Jenny Case and myself are working on getting everything set up for these dates. Saturday, we'll have a class in the morning and break for lunch. We'll then head up to Moosic Mountain and build/correct some water areas that IMBA sees as troubled areas. We'll build for about 4hrs. Sunday will be a ride to see how our work turned out!

If anyone is interested in attending this event, please contact me via PM on here. I'll get some info out as soon as I can. ttyl, Fahn

Master Plan for Salisbury

The Master Plan for Walking Purchase Park (aka Lehigh Mountain Park, aka Salisbury — to us) has been distributed for approval.

The Valley Mountain Bikers' Salisbury Trail Committee has reviewed the Master Plan and decided it was important to respond. A letter with feedback on key points pertaining to the trail system will be mailed this week.

There will be a full report at the August meeting.

Thanks,
Doug
