Local trails just don't seem to be drying out right now.
I urge you to be creative with your riding and give things a chance to heal so we all can continue to enjoy primo stuff.

It looks like an equestrian group has chosen to ride the trails this summer while they were soft. Imagine 20-40 horses riding places like Sals after a rain and you get the idea-- Rick is asking all mountain bikers to please contact DCNR to express the concerns around these practices. VMB recently used a large chunk of its treasury on materials for kiosks for Salisbury. So, while we hone our grant-writing skills, I'm interested in input from you "guys" on ideas for donations or fundraisers for the club to help ensure we at least have plenty of good tools for our upcoming trail building days.

1) Who do you know? Are you friends/acquaintances with any local business/individual that might be willing to donate funds, tools or materials to aid with our trail projects/events?

2) Do you have fundraising expertise and might be able to help us with some good ideas?

I found this page with some links from Bill and Mark. Can someone tell me if any of this stuff is in a format usable to most? I'm trying to get this to someone from the Appalachian Mountain Club.

Senator MaryJo White has asked for a list of potential park closures in the event that Senate Bill 850 is enacted and the Governor’s Office has directed us to comply with the request. It is the administrations intent to make the list available early next week. The time to act is now.

Did anyone local help with these trails? It doesn't sound like it from this post....it would be a shame since BM isn't really 'southeast' PA.
