Salisbury Trail Marking
With a BIG thanks to VMB member "BernyCrisp," we have some pretty hot new trail markers that are dying to get nailed up at Salisbury.
Good fall/winter event. Start looking for your hammer and stay tuned...
Because where would we be without trails?

Nice day at Trexler today. That autumn olive is a real joy!
I think it's time to have a meeting to discuss where we are and where we're going at Trex.
Possible items to discuss:
1) How the trails under construction might fit in with a possible future trail system
2) Using Trexler as a learning opportunity for people new to trail design
When can everyone get together?
Hey, check the calendar for details of the IMBA TCC visit to Jersey. There are two weekends coming up the first is Oct 11/2 at Chimney Rx and the second is Oct 18/19 up north in Ringwood.
Details are posted here http://www.mtbnj.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7180 and here http://go.imba.com/ringwood.
There is still room open for both weekends!
See ya

This is short notice. The Sals commissioners will discuss the master plan for the Walking Purchase park tonight at 8 at the township building on S 4th st. The regular meeting starts at 7:30. John Eberhard will be there. I might be tied up. Sorry for the short notice -I was hiking at Sals today and didn't get a chance to post this.
I wanted to thank those folks that came out this past Saturday to work on the re-route of the White Trail.

We got a lot done on the re-route! Hopefully we can get the re-route finished during next months TM session and open it up! See everyone on September 20th!
I read this concept the other day on the Dirt Rag site. The idea is that you do a little road on the way to your dirt! For us over at Sals you can park in the little lot that adjoins 378 by the bridge . This is right across 378 form the main st exit on 378 North. From there you can take the 378 bridge over to brighton st and then over to Sals.
Much better idea than parking near or at St Lukes.
There is a thread on mtbr in the trailbuilding forum about how to motivate individuals to participate in constructing mountain bike trails. One of the ideas mentioned is that some corporate employees are required to do community service and have joined the trailbuilding ranks. I don't know if they are mountain bikers as well but we can always use the help for our ongoing project at Salisbury.
Since I am not a member of the corporate world I don't know much about this topic. I'd be curious if any of you have heard of the corporate community service thing.
thought this would be interesting

County offers land for biking hall of fame
Near velodrome: Lehigh officials say it's the perfect spot.
''Lehigh County is known as a national center for bicycling,'' said County Executive Don Cunningham. ''This is the perfect place for a Bicycling Hall of Fame. The county velodrome is a long-standing, beloved destination for world-class athletes, nationwide enthusiasts, and our own local cycling fanatics.''
