Cyclocomputer found!

I was riding Sals last night Jan. 8th. I found the head unit of a cyclocomputer on the trail. It must have worked loose off someones bike.
It was found on the Upper orange near the end by St. Lukes Dialysis.
Yellow Specialized model.
Let me know if it's yours.

New Years day Ride

I want to thank all of you at VMB for making my New Years ride a spectacular one to remember.
It started with a riding partner of Kevin calling me New Years Eve to go for a ride in the morning. 7am.New Years Day Ughh! I got home from my festive evening and looked at the Weather Channel. Unpromisingly it looked like this ride would'nt even happen.

Sals Trailwork for Sunday-1PM

Some of us are gonna work Sunday on the trails for a few hours. Please post or PM if you want to help out. 1PM is a decent starting time but we might be able to do another time if you prefer.

We're gonna work on the new blue extender. Park on Consitution below where the red trail crosses. We'll do the usual bench cutting, clay filling/digging and a light chainsaw session.

Its already flagged so there there won't be another discussion as to where the trail will run. If you persist and want to do this Bob will write bad comments about you in the forums or something.

The Next Big Salisbury Trail Building day-YOU decide when Jerky

That's right folks. Just when you thought you couldn't possibly be guilt-tripped yet again into feeling bad cause those same 5 guys are out in the possibly Sh!tty weather building those bike trails you love to ride...WE'RE DOING IT AGAIN.

Yet another trail building day is being planned to help us complete the new Blue Bypass Enhancement trail. Other names are being floated around too, such as the Girly Man trail, and the 5 Guys trail.

Wednesday trailwork

If, for some reason you chart your own course in life and want to step out of the rat race and do some meaningful trabuilding on a Wednesday afternoon, (whew!) we'll be there at 3 or so working on the voluptuous but tough new "Girly Man" trail. !!

The Weather looks good so take off work and come on out. I think there will be three of us there, maybe 4.

Sals Sunday Trailbuild

Anyone into trailbuilding for Sunday? The weather looks a little funky with some freezing rain so it might not be a great riding day. Bob mentioned he might be able to work, Dave can and maybe John. anyone else? Late morning start or early afternoon.

Its foreseeable that this trail can be connected to the DD trail crossing at the 3rd tower and in use by January sometime if.....

More @ss busting today at Sals

Another pretty day in the woods today -light, puffy snow falling, geese flying over..

but F the woodsy cuteness we were there to play poor man's backhoe, i.e you have the shovel, there's the rock.

So Greg, Trevor and I worked for about 3 hours on the second climbing turn. We also took a little stroll in the direction of Western Sals and found about 200 yards of an old trail we could use if....

Sals Sunday for trail cleanup/trailwork?

Anyone up for doing a little work at Sals this Sunday? There are apparently some trees down on the blue somewhere and possibly the red.

This would require a chainsaw. We could also do some work on the new trail near the boulders. If you are interested, please indicate by posting and suggest an idea of a time. I may be heading up to the mountain so i might be able to make it.

Salisbury Trailworking Sloppfest

It was a cold, sloppy, wet, and snowy trailworking day that started off with the usual cell phone calls to see if we were still working.Thankfully the consensus was to go for it and there was a great turnout!
I don't remember all the names but we had about a dozen or so folks including a few folks that I never met before. Its possible there is photo documentation so maybe we can figure out the numbers later...
