Hubbard Ride and VMB Hosting

At the last meeting we discussed a group ride at Hubbard one weekend, and then having them come and check out Salisbury the next day (or the next week). Here is the dialogue that I've gotten with John Grabowski, Hubbard Pres.:

Hello Jay, I like that idea, May 17th -18th? no races ,,sounds like fun ,,, John

2nd Annual Rally in the Valley, April 19th in Wisahickon Park

The Philadelphia Mountain Bikers Association is holding the Second Annual Rally In The Valley April 19th, 2008 on the trails in Wisahickon Park (you might have seen the article in Bikemag.com on the Wiss). It isn't a race, but a true mountain bike festival. The RIV is a ride to get more people into the sport of mountain biking. Multiple rides in one day actually, some scheduled, some not.

Help take biking to local youth..

The Minsi Trails Council of Boy Scouts of America is sponsoring a joint Jamboree with Hawk Mountain Council (Berks County) to hold a Jamboree on the campus of Kutztown University on Saturday May 17th 2008. Guys, we're expecting over 3000 Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, along with thier families and students of KU to be in attendance for this event and this is what I'd like to ask of each of your shops.

XC Skiing Sunday

Looks like a few mountain bikers are going to converge upon Crystal Lake Ski Center this Sunday. Their conditions are great, and the trails are fun. Nice grooming makes it easy to learn and you can really get in a workout on the groomed trails.

The web site is: www.crystallakeskicenter.com

This will be an epic weekend for it. Hope to see you there. Anyone interested?
