Bikes, components, clothing, beer accessories and technical issues
I just recieved a very unexpected bonus from work. And before I even finished saying Thank You; I had visions of a new frame in my head.
Here are my 3 rides I'd like to get:
1. Santa Cruz Heckler
2. Ellsworth Moment
3. Specialized Enduro SL
Any and all opinions/experiences about those 3 frames are welcome.
Anybody read their latest issue 127? Tell me what you think of the bike reviews, The Fisher and the Scott. What do think of the reviews, not the bikes themselves. Thanks.
That's right, I was looking on eBay at fox stuff and there is a completed auction on there where a 20 year old MX fork sold for $4000! That is nuts. Of course, I like to make a dollar or two hustling old junk so maybe I'll look for these thing. $4000 gets my attention. Here
Dan's cyclocross got me started on this. I have to say my perception of biking has really changed over the past two years. My bike list used to consist of a full-suspension mountain bike and my old hardtail as a backup. Now my list is a bit odder (is that a word?)

Surly 1 x 1 currently setup with cyclcross type tires and fixed gear for commuting and the towpath. It really wants a Brooks leather saddle and some funky bars like Mary's flipped upside down... we'll see.

But you might start thinking your next bike needs to be a custom job from one of these guys... I'm thinking a Wolfhound 29'er would be sweet!
Yeah, its cold outside. However, technology marches on and now there is a product designed to keep your tukus warm and happy. Its still in the advanced prototype stage but I think you'll get the idea.
I know we had a discussion like this a while ago, but I didn't pay much attention. Since I am totally bored now due to being kinda sick and the weather has changed, I'm checking out stuff online. The idea of getting a handheld GPS thingy is coming up again and from my brief investigation, the Garmin 60 looks pretty good. Anyone care to comment on this? What do you have, how you use it, what's good, bad, etc.
I had this gift card from christmas to Dicks Sporting Goods,I had No idea what to buy with since dicks bikes stuff generally sucks....but the cary the Multi-tool that slips into the Lefty..Wooot!!!!!
So I'm going to be in the market for a light pretty soon. What's everybody's suggestion on which brand/model I should pick up. The only thing I know for sure is that it should be a helmet mount for my primary light. Oh, and the price range should be around or under 350 clams, if possible.
