Ride stories, planning of rides, anything to do with riding that bike
This weather is driving me nuts.I was patiently waiting for the trail conditions to improve and we get another multi- snow setback.To make things worse is a have a new bike I can't wait to check out....
So my question is how far south do you have to go to find a decent spot to ride that missed the last snowstorm? I'm thinking like a little west of the philly area, like Rising Sun, MD or vicinity.
Last minute but I'm getting out at 2:30, heading home to grab the bike and give Sals a shot with Joe G. if anyone is interested... about 3:30'ish.
I kind feel like doing a general putz around ride on the bike tommorrow. This would start somewehere in South Beth and head up and over to the south slope of the mountain. I'm thinking early afternoon depending on the weather. If you are interested post here and we'll figure out the details.
We have some cold temps this week so whats left of the snow should be frozen solid, 1 to 3 inches of Blower is forcasted for tommorow, which I am predicting will give us some nice traction.....If not we will head to the bar and drink till about 1AM at which point we will all head to Joe's house uninvited and bang on his door untill he
A) lets us in
B)Mrs. Joe calls the cops
C) Joe comes out in a wife beater tells us to get in his SUV and we head to Atlantic City.
I don't know if it will be more slipery then it was Saturday, but if its the same, I was thinking maybe doing a half a lap, climb the Spanky then do some interval training on Constitution. If its too slick we can just head to constitution. I dont feel like riding in my kitchen tonight.
If conditons are like Early saturday, it should make for some good bike handling skills training. Single speeds will have a rough time on the climbs though.
So it was pretty warm today, the melt is getting on, little rain tommorow, High of 41...a little cooler Friday Sat, and sunay...Maybe the ground will get hard in the mornings and we can do some Laps at sals.......
Looking for a ride tomorrow afternoon, probably around 3-ish for 2-3 hours...anyone around, and anyone have any trail conditions?
