Ride stories, planning of rides, anything to do with riding that bike

Friday eve ride

Anyone wanna ride tonight? I'm thinking of riding one of the Bethlehem trails around 6 and then meandering around First Friday. If I go I'm gonna leave from the Wildflower after 6.

Weissport to JT Sat AM

Gotta stick around close on Saturday so I'm headin' over to Weissport early AM (8:00 AM ?)to start the weekend off to do an out and back to Thorpe. Plan on around 10 miles, maybe hour and a half, and some very excellent, fast single track mixed with short bursts on towpath with a few technical sections thrown in. Really not gonna cruise so the pace should be pretty quick. Way different than the brutal rocks and climbing of Bear Creek and some of the Sal's leg busters. You single speeders or rigids just might love it. I'll be there in a green Dodge Dakota with a Kona.

Family Ride/Day

I am not listing this as an official ride scheduler event, because every family is different and has it's own schedule, but here's the deal.

My family (extended included) will be spending either saturday or sunday, depends on the better weather forcast, at Mauch Chunk lake riding bikes and playing on the beach and picnicing all day.

I open this to any and all families of VMBer's, with kids especially, to feel free to join us for the day or whatever your schedule allows.

Rattling Creek sunday for picnic

depending on home situation, i would like to head to RC for their memorial day picnic. We did it last year and was a blast. I will talk to the wife tonight to see what the outlook will be. Whether i go or not, i suggest everyone go. There are many group levels and you can just follow along. Talk to anybod,at least anybody who bikes:IHIH: that these trails are a gift from the mtn bike gods.

they start at 10am and takes about 90 mins to get there
