Yellowstone Bike Tour Offer

Another offer that came over the "Contact Form:"

Hi—

I’m the event director of Cycle Greater Yellowstone, a new week-long road-bike tour that will have its inaugural ride in August 2013. It’s the first time a large-scale, fully supported tour has gone through this incredibly scenic area.

What is Michaux like?

So that weekend camp thing I'm doing at the end of the month, we'll be doing 20 miles a day, with a lot of stopping to session stuff.

Realistically, with my current fitness level, I can do 22 miles at Blue Marsh, or 14 miles at Sals (2 full laps?) with similar outcomes in how beat I am at the end. I just never really have the time to go on super long rides so it seems as though my fitness level has plateaued based on my only getting out 1-2 times a week for a few hours. And I ride to clear my head and bumble along, i don't ride all balls out as fast as I can.

Chatter for a Sunday ride

Are any of the trails up for some traffic this Sunday? Seems like the weather forecast is pretty good and my yard is certainly drying out (sap is flowing on the maples so trail riding is not far behind)

I would be into an afternoon lazy day ride - trail or path. Anyone else just waking up from winter interested?

White Clay conditions 1/10

I had an impromptu opportunity for some me time yesterday...so of course i made my way down to the best part of delaware...conditions were not as good as i hoped they would be...kinda hit and miss...from a little soft to full blown muck and grease...i did just about everything...almost 28 miles...but it was rough and slow going in spots...that place must get ridden alot cause it was really rutty...i think the worst were the open field sections...i would think they would be the driest because they get the most sun...but they were the worst...one to two inches of grease...i rode in the grass
