Our 5 day MTB hop in PA
Thanks again for the input.
We didn't get to do everything, but we did plenty this time around.
I'll post some pics when I have time, but here is what we did:
Day 1
- picked up bikes at Saucon Valley Bikes- props to the shop they were great!
- road a local system near Sals
+woke me up, and let me know I wasn't in California anymore--way more rocks than I'm used to.
+first time on 29 and squishy...loved it quickly
+learned about the liquor and beer laws, and byob...wtf?!
 Day 2

White Clay/Middle Run DE Ride this Saturday
Hey all,
I'm heading down to visit the folks in DE this weekend, and as long as the weather cooperates, I'm planning on spending 2-3 hours at the wonderful Middle Run trails in Newark, DE on Saturday. If you'd like to join me for the ride, I'd love to have company, and if you haven't ridden there before, I'm glad to show you around. It's fast, flowy, and tons of fun. The only catch is that we can't carpool, since I have those family obligations Saturday night and am staying over. Let me know...
Gardy
4/27-5/31 stage-rides + RAIN rules?
Its no "Transylvania" race, but....busy week, and you are welcome to tag along.
Warning, our excitement may be contagious.
Tentative list (reduced to reality from other post):
Sunday- pick up bikes 11, and ride around 12 @ Sal's, then Trexler (maybe before Trexler a 6 mile loop @ South Mountain (near N &W Mtn Drive) or South Mtn Emmanus)-- really don't know how things will turn out so we're filling the plate, but may eat less...
Mon- ~8 AM Rattling Creek 19 mi; Swatara 9 mi
Tues- ~8 AM Allegrippis...all day, as much as we can take
Stick to the man - Fridays
Anyone up for close "destination" ride for Friday.
Friday before a holiday weekend is the traditional get away day - so I'm thinking maybe Nox. Anyone else have a few hours they want to burn up in the woods?
If that's too far, I could always get talked into Trex.
Pedal instead of working. It's much better for your soul.

Curt's Cyclery Century Ride, June 9th
Like the title says...
Starts at 8 am, benefits Angel 34 foundation. Find out the info here....
VMB destination ride - Blue Mtn, NY
I'm caving to the masses as far as a weekend group ride at Blue Mtn.
Does anyone have any real preference or problem with a Sunday ride on July 15th or July 29th. I don't want to make any guarantees I can accommodate everyone but if there is another big event I don't know about then that's a different story.
I'm leaning toward the 29th.
Otherwise, I'd be happy to lead a group up there just about any weekday for an all day outing. Heck, I'm open to individual tours if it means I can stick to the man! Anyone want to go next week??
Chatter......

Stick it to the man Fridays
Ok - where I come from, Friday is "stick it to the man day" so join me in this time honored tradition for a blast around Emmaus.
A few of you have said you want in - well this is it. Pace is social - but no recovery drinks afterwards - total ride time is a little over an hour but folks can peel off anytime they need to in order to get back to their lives.
Meet at Alpine street at noon. - post up if you think you can make it so we will be sure to wait if you are late.

"All" of PA in a Google Earth file! For your Top 'Ten' list
I spent at least eight hours combing Garmin Connect to create a kmz file with many PA rides. It was a pain in the :moon: as Garmin Connect does not cooperate sometimes. I am guessing my homework will pay off when I come out in a few weeks.
1. The file will only open in Google Earth.
2. I may have misnamed some of the rides/trails...I only went off what they were called on GC.
3. Some tracks may be illegal trails as I have no idea what I downloaded...hopefully there isn't much of this.
4. I (sort of) organized it into to different folders.
Earth Day Ride at Bear Creek
Bear Creek will be hosting an Earth Day celebration on Sunday, 4/22 from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Come up and ride and then afterwards enjoy the Bluegrass band Blackjack playing on the deck from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM. Meet our Naturalist John Henschel for a nature discussion. Bring the kids up to participate in our free catch and release fishing day in our large pond. Food and Beverages will be served on the deck as well. We are also having outdoor yoga, Eco Art for the kids, geocaching, disc golf and milkweed seed give aways.
So come up, ride then enjoy the festivities!
