Anyone up for a social spin arouond Sals on Saturday around 1ish. Nothing too fast but steady enough to stay warm.

Still burning through some vacation days and am thinking about a double loop - clockwise and counter clockwise - at Nox.
I have some flexibility on start time but was thinking of starting around 11-11:30, riding one loop, break for lunch and do the second.
If you want to join for one or both, I could adjust the times to meet up.
I hope to keep a steady pace but could speed up or slow down depending. Enjoy the weather while it lasts

Anyone else have some vacation time to burn? It's been a while since I've been there and it is on my to do list.
I am tossing around Wednesdays in order to break up the week. Anyone interested - riding by 9-10ish, home by dinner. Just like work, only it's not.

Rode there today and conditions are perfect. The place is just so much fun and it has a bit of everything. Shame there's no camping there anymore, that place would be awesome for a camping/night ride trip!

Trex is in superb shape today - rocket fast, a little tacky and a whole lot of fun. Weather is very cooperative

Did a wednesday ride tonight at Sals (first ride and...awesome!). My wife works until 8pm on wednesday so I was able to ride but not able to do the post ride. I would really like to do the post ride, though. For reference, we have only one car.
Anyone who does the wednesday rides and can swing by to grab me (I work from home) would be rewarded with gas money and at least one beer on me at the post ride. I have a rack that mounts to my Kia Soul so need a hatchback style vehicle to use it if you don't have one.

Otherwise....I will just keep missing the post ride (not the end of the world)

I'm am finally going to pull the trigger on a urban epic this year, probably around late April early May. Timing depends on temps and local trail conditions (no sense in doing an urban if our local trails are ridable).
Anyway, here is the plan - very tentative.
Start someplace along the Palisades park. Parking is easy and cheap with easy off street access to GWB
Cross into the City and head south along Riverside Park to Battery Park
Stop at 9-11 memorial (optional)
Cross into Brooklyn for pizza
Back into the City and possibly head toward High bridge park -
