VMB, working with Jacobsburg State Park, local riders, equestrians, as well as two shops--Saucon Valley Bikes and Curt's Cyclery--will be doing trail work at the park this Saturday. We'll be working on the connector trail between State Park Road and Jacobsburg Road. Due to poor drainage and grades, that section becomes super muddy when wet. The goal is to improve drainage by building some grade reversals and fix grades and slope where we can to divert water off the trail. The park has already raised on bridge, which should help drainage, and we'll repair the transition up to and off the bridge.
The park, VMB, and equestrian groups will provide some tools and materials, but please bring your own shovel and other trail building tools if you have them. You'll need your own gloves, water and snacks (though we'll have some Clif Bars on hand, provided by IMBA).
