Bear Creek

Anyone that want's to ride tech terrain should definitely check this place out. Rode it today in the rain and it was a blast!!!! Gary and his crew are doing a great job up there.Very challenging to get through with no get off's.Totally stoked!!!!!!! can't wait till the next event...

kiosks

Was wondering if anyone still has the plans and cut sheet for the Kiosks at Sals, I don't want to reinvent the wheel. We have permission to place one at the trail head at lake Nockamixon and i'm going to see if the local lumber and home center would supply the materials.

Meeting Suggestions

Any opinions on meeting location for August and September meetings?

I guess most of us prefer someplace where we can ride before the meeting. What do you think? Stick with Jordan? Try Jacobsburg? Emmaus? We haven't done Salisbury yet this year. Somewhere else?

iPhone Trail Maps

I had this app called MountainBike that listed all the trails in the USA and was worthless. They just updated it and many of the local rides have maps of the trails (sals, jorden, bear creek, high rocks, etc) through a website Trailfu. The sals map looks sweet like one of euphoria's rides, other maps like High Rocks missed a lot of trails.

If you ride and GPS your ride you can add your trail map to mountainbike and trailfu.

HecklerMike takes one for the Club

Mike called me this morning. He wanted to show his love for all our hard trail work at Sals so he took a flying dive on the Upper Red, just before the bitches. He said he landed so hard he bounced. Sad

He managed to ride past St Lukes on the way home, but later went to the ER with two broken ribs. He is in quite a bit of pain and on pain meds so he can breath. Hopefully he will be back riding in a few weeks.

Maiden Voyage Of The VMB BOB Trailer, Tuesday 5:40

If you're bored after work tomorrow come spend a little quality time with me for some tree clearing at Sals.

I'm heading to LubyLand. (If you climb the Spanky and take the blue -- this is the left-turn option at the Y at the top.)
I'll be parking at the yellow bridge near the top of Constitution and I'll likely take the washed-out jeep road up to the top. Since I'm using the trailer, you can bring your bike and we should be able to reach the destination much faster than walking.
