Jay DeJesus online skills clinic

Jay is one of our local "legends" . Pro trials, DS, DH, XC, FR, AM, OMG, WTF rider.

Jay just doesn't have the time anymore to devote to skills clinics, with work, running a bike company, video games and eating ice cream.... theres no time left to give to the community. Lucky for us Jay has compiled a list of how too skills videos from his clinics

Moosic Mt

Went up and rode Moosic this past weekend and must say the place is fantastic. Great trails, easy to navigate, and really different from the local stuff. VERY rocky! Tons of embedded rock to catch your pedals on (and pinch flat on) and some super cool slick rock sections as well. Definitely recommend this place if you haven't been there.

3 foot passing law

Was out on my bike today and on the way home almost got hit by a car. The car was heading in the same direction and almost side swiped me. The car was 3ft or less when they went by. Looked online to see if there were any laws for this and there is in 14 other states NOT Pa. Would like to know what others think about this.

It's the "Light" time of year to ride

Ok someone mentioned it in another thread so here ya go. What do you run!!

I am thinking about getting that cheap $175 Magicshine Racer deal for Abbie.

I love my Jetlite Blast HID except for the battery, it's big and heavy. My bar light is a Sigma Karma, it's not much but it gets the job done. It's on the bars for a backup, really. The Blast is on the helmet and is plenty bright that I don't usually turn on the Karma most rides.

Negative comments only please

Since a new bike has made it onto my shopping list I'm looking for some input. My lbs has a Marin Mount Vision demo for a great price so as of now it's on my short list. My other choice is a GT Force and maybe a Jamis 650. I did have a 29nr on my list but after the recent poor showings on the local trails, I'm not so sure anymore. Anyone hear or have anything negative to say about these bikes/manufacuteres? I'm not in a rush but want to take advantage of the year end closeouts. I'm open to suggestions but my budget is limited about 3Gs. That means mass market and demos I guess

Let down......

So it's Sunday, sept. 12th and i have just came back from blue extremely disappointed with no ambition to ride today. On my way up[3 minutes away] i got a call and was informed that the mountain was closing early today.Obviously i wanted to know why since the rain had stopped for a good 2 hours now and i knew the conditions where going to be great, ie. being so dry the rain would tack everything and the mountain drains really fast.

Old abandoned cars?

With fall approaching and winter only a few months away bringing greater visibility off the trails and into the woods, the car guy and artist in me has got to ask... have you ever come across any old abandoned cars in the woods while riding?

Stavros - my idol

Stavros - a man after my own heart. you've been cruizing around all season on that Giant, the seat post breaks and the next thing you're sporting a brand new set of wheels. Jamis sixfifty B2  was it?? Hard to tell you blew by us in such a blur.

Hope you felt obligated to take make your first ride a shop ride and didn't just dis the regular Wed night crowd. Or was it a Demo ride...??

Either way, post up some comments about the bike - Instead of replacing my crank, I'm thinking about getting a new bike too. The sixfifty is one on my list since it's carried by the LBS.
