This is really good news Scott. We have come a long long way. This could eventually lead to legalization of yet another fine place to ride. :cornut:
Looking to upgrade from a 2001 Santa Cruz Superlight with 4" travel to something with plusher, more travel, XC/all-mountain type bike. Comfort matters since I'm officially middle-aged!
Presently watching eBay/Craigslist for deals, but wondering if other deals are out there..... bike shop trade ins, or is the Texlertown swap meet a good option for deals?
I don't have a clue as to what other brands are comparable to the SC Blur LT, so recommendations are welcome!
I might be pulling the trigger this week on a SC blur unless you can find a better option......
I was talking with Kenny the other day, who made me think I needed to share some information. I wasn't thinking much about the idea that anyone who wasn't at the last meeting or two has no idea what's going on. And since Kenny claims I've been noticeably absent...
After two years as president, I decided that it was time to take a break. It's been a great run. I've found it rewarding and certainly worthwhile.
Has anyone ever had an extended stay down in the Slatyfork - Snowshoe - Marlington area of WV riding mostly XC. (I know there is plenty of DH at the resort) We'd like to stay as close to the trailheads of Tea Creek, Gauley, and others in Slatyfork.
One thing we do like in our "man"cations is a place with a full kitchen. Some of the dudes I ride with can really cook...plus we need a full fridge to hold all the beer.
A place in the ballpark of $700 for 3 nights would be great.

Vertical Earth “ State of the Union “
As of Friday, February 26 Mountain Biking has been cancelled at the Vertical Earth Gravity Park at Blue Mountain Ski Resort. The mountain has decided to dedicate all resources to the future waterpark coming in 2012.
I am inviting you to a meeting of the minds before the season kicks into gear. March 10th at 7pm location Day St community center. In front of Dansbury Park East Stroudsburg PA.
During the meeting we will be asking for volunteers to help organize some clean ups of trails either on Earth Day or just whenever we can arrange a day of service like that for our areas trailways. Maybe you know of a place that might need to be walked through and the litter picked up? Trails groomed etc.... Here's a great place to let that be known.
