"The trails at Nockamixon are CLOSED until they are completed and approved by DCNR. Thanks to all the riders who volunteered their time to beat the trail in and found where it needs to be improved. We ask that you respect our decision on the closing of the trail until we finish building it. Trailbuilders will be out every weekend Sat and Sunday completing the task at hand. Everyone is more than welcome to help out. They will also be out during the weekdays and afternoons building the trail."

Someone has been doing some work at SME. Mainly removing logs.

Has this been VMB member work or if not does anyone know who has been doing it?

The Saucon Rail Trail is having a ribbon cutting ceremony, for Hellertown & Lower Saucon, on Saturday 05/07 @ 8:30am at Water St Park in Hellertown. The trail starts at Bachman St in Hellertown (behing Beer Mussels) & finishes at Upper Saucon Park (between the Copperhead Grill & DeSales U). Next year it should continue on to Coopersburg. Hopefully in the future it will connect to the Bethlehem Greenway, as well as down to Quakertown.

Looking for a '85 Pontiac Fiero GT that will fit under my custom bike roof rack. I would prefer white, but other colors would be considered. It must be a four speed not automatic, in good condition, original wheels and the badass wing that catches the front bike tire when it falls off the rack at 90mph.

The vehicle I'm looking to put under my bike rack looks exactly like this but has a 4 speed.

I finally cracked the MACH 5 frame.. So I was at the starting line of the race when Dan saw the crack in my top tube. Thinking back after the race when Jay told me the not so nice outcomes of a frame coming apart mid ride I probably should not have raced but the adrenaline was already flowing so there was no stopping. Each Mile that past I saw the crack getting bigger and bigger and I knew I wasn’t going to take it easy so it came down to whatever happens.

Don't think you can just ride by on a work day without paying your dues......

So I've never been and everyone keeps trying to convince me to go. I'm about to say okay and sign up, but I'm looking for someone who has room for one amongst their group. I simply must have a shower facility and I don't sleep on the ground. If you are going and have room for me, I'm skinny and don't take up much room and I can cook.

Some intense and nasty stuff —this actually made me jump a couple times.

Just got this email from Bikeworks in Harleysville...

"Coming Soon... New Trails...

Bikeworks' Mr. Ed has recently teamed up with Green Lane Park to give local mountain bike riders access to some more trails in the park. Mr. Ed is also heading up a rerouting project on a few existing trails in order to make them more sustainable and mountain bike friendly. We are very excited to be a part of this project and will keep everyone updated on our progress."

Thats some good news and its only 30min west of Nox.

SPRING GOBBLER SEASON

Hikers, mountainbikers, birdwatchers and other outdoor recreationists should be aware that the Pennsylvania Game Commission has expanded the Spring Gobbler Season.

From April 30 to May 31 (except Sundays), there will be 232,000 Spring turkey hunters afield, who are expected to harvest about 41,000 bearded birds.

The state’s one-day youth spring gobbler season is Saturday,April 23, and will run from one-half hour before sunrise until noon. The general spring gobbler season is April 30-May 31, but there are new hunting hours.
