Membership Renewal Reminder

Just a friendly reminder... a lot of Memberships are up for renewal in Jan. and Feb. We appreciate your support of the club in the past and look forward to your continued support in '09.

You can check when your last dues was paid on the members page. If you renew prior to your expiration date we'll mark it paid from the expiration date.

Renewals can be done on-line, or at the party on Fri.

Have You Been Told To Leave Sals By Local Police???

There have been a couple of incidents where riders, parked at the trailhead for a night ride, have been told to leave by the police. The officers cite the Walking Purchase Park's rule of closure from dusk to dawn.

This potentially affects many riders during this time of year as it is dark before they even leave work. Before deciding what action needs to be taken, information needs to be gathered.

So, has this happened to you? Please share on this thread all relevant info regarding your experience including:

1. Time of day this occurred.
2. Where this occurred.

Pennsylvania Perimeter Ride Against Cancer

Every two years, several VMB members commit themselves to this fund-raising ride. They spend a week away from home and sleep in gymnasiums -- averaging between 500-600 miles in the saddle over some demanding terrain. Prior to this, they attempt to raise the funds necessary to participate. This commonly includes anything from a letter-writing campaign to showing up with buckets to collect change from shoppers while they spin on their bikes outside of Wal-Mart.

Off Topic - Need Meeting Room

This is way off topic, but I'm looking for a place to hold a meeting for a non-profit group. The room should be able to hold about 120 people. Should have seating for a lecture-style meeting. It should have ample parking. Preferably on the first floor to avoid steps. The room should also have some extra space for tables so educational material can be displayed. Room needs to be available for the 3rd or 4th Thursdays of the month. Need to keep the cost around or under $250.

If you know of something available like this in the Lehigh Valley, please PM me.
