new to this board but not to biking. my sister is on this board(irish girl) and she told me a while back to come check this board out. i live in jersey so i do a majority of my riding there, but i occasionally hit up jacobsburg and hit jordan one time while i was there as well. hope to come check out more of your trails this season.:thumbsup:
...ok, quick question. Riding in snow/rain. After getting back from ride, bike totally wet. Storing bike in garage. Dry whole bike? thanks

Ok, so you would THINK I'd know the answer to this working in Trauma but I don't. So, I'm coming here to the experts.
I took a nasty fall at Jordan yesterday on my way back to the parking lot. Dumbness on my part was a precipitating factor.:O
Or as my father always tells me "all brains, no common sense" yep, that's me! 
I knew the main trail had about 2-3 inches of ice on it because I had to walk my bike UP the main trail to get to the trail head on the right side, just after the second bridge.
We are going to Ray's Indoor Mtb Park next weekend. We are leaving around 5-6AM on Saturday the 31st, that would put us in Cleveland around noon. We will ride at Ray's from noon till close (midnight I believe) and then ride 9AM to around 1PM on Sunday. 6 Hours back to PA gets us home around 7-8PM Sunday night. We would have 1 spot open in the van and could handle 1 more bike. Our hotel room is full so you would need to figure out lodging. Let me know if anyone is interested or has questions about the trip.
I've found it impossible to judge XC/BC ski conditions by watching weather reports, or from looking out my window (except in those all-too-rare mega snow dump conditions). So I thought maybe we could all share what we know.
Blue Marsh Lake has been really nice this past week for XC skiing on the lake (there's not enough snow on the trails). The ice isn't all that thick, so stay near the edges, over shallow water. I'm hoping to head out this Sat. and Sun. morning. If anyone's interested you can PM me.

Just wondering as I've become more active on VMB if it is possible that VMB could add as part of a VMB member profile a place to include a picture of the member and their bike. I think it would be cool to be able to see everyone's pic and their corresponding ride so we know who the heck we are talking to on VMB.

Hey I am having an issue with the laptop. None of my passwords are saved-I have to re-login to every site I use that requires a user name and password every time I turn it on.
I use Firefox and under Tools/Options/Privacy/Cookies I have accept cookies from sites enabled.
Any ideas? This is becoming a PIA
Well i kept saying this whole economy disaster thing hasnt really affected me at all being a 25 year old with no intentions of retiring for a few decades but on Friday that all changed. My company laid me off as part of some downsizing so i am now on unemployment for the second time since graduation. Not too happy about it but hey, at least i can ride more now.
So if anyone wants a guided tour of Lehigh, SME, Sals or Jacobsburg during the week, let me know. Rides will have to be during the day though bc i don't have lights.
