Bear Creek

Rode Bear Creek today for the 1st time

Hophazard and I rode bear creek today and it was awesome! Conditions were great and we were impressed with the varied elements offered there. Rode clockwise and hit the "great" hill to be rewarded with the wonderful gnarly downhill stuff. Only a few scratches each (ooops, pat got his first major scratch on his oh golly gee oh happy day enduro)Can't wait to go back and check it out again!

so, Bear Creek...

I've only had a bike for about 3 weeks now and this past Thursday I checked out Bear Creek since I live like 10 minutes away from there. I parked at lot 4, which is the gravel lot the lady at the desk told me to park at, and I went along my merry way starting on the pond side on the trail that borders the pond.

I was told that it starts out easy, then gets harder, then much harder, buuuut when I started out, the entire trail for as far as I could tolerate was just nothing but rocks.

Blue Trail

The blue loop is reopened. The new section of the blue loop is finished and in rideable condition. There are a few tricky spots that will need some fine tuning, but the loop is open. The new section is currently marked with CAUTION tape and blue arrows should be in place by tomorrow evening. I would once again like to thank everyone that volunteered their time to help build this section, along with all those who built here over the years.

B.C.

Just wondering - is B.C. rideable in both directions with the construction going on? Haven't been there in a while.

Trailwork Day

Bear Creek will be hosting a trailwork day on Sunday August 19th at 9am. We are asking for assitance in completing a section of trail that was removed to make room for a new waste water treatment plant for the resort. The area is one that many of you have already noticed on the lower right hand side of the mountain.

We have already blazed a trail cooridor for the new trail and need assistance in benchcutting and moving rock to make the corridor rideable.
