After umpteen years of using Bollé lenses I'm thinking of going with something new, but I don't really what's fashionable these days. The Bollés I use now have prescription inserts and interchangeable outer lenses (clear, low-light yellow, etc), which I like, but the inserts tend to fog up and the lenses don't always block wind.

What I'd like to know is: what (prescription) riding lenses are people using, and what do you like and dislike about them?

For those of you that are interested in upgrading your 1x10 drivetrain to 1x11 with the 11-42 cassette. Praxis works makes a 10 speed long range 11-40 cassette for $130.00 I have a shimano slx Deore rear derailleur with the long cage. I put this cassette on and couldn't believe how smooth it shifted without any adjustments. I haven't tested it out on the trail yet, but I will be sure to give it another review after a few rides. :cornut:

I saw some old threads about lights, and the night seems to be the only time I consistently have free... so what are folks opinions on lights? I'd like something pretty powerful, but I realize they can get pretty expensive. Any specific shops around have a lot of lights?

Anyone else have issue's with this? I have a LEV-ti and you have to pull it apart and put carbon paste on it a few times a year to keep it from groaning when you weight the seat differently. Its really annoying when it makes noise and the only thing I ever found was to put carbon paste on it. There is no serrations in the seatclamp area to grip at all and the lower plate the seat sits on is carbon.

I have a eTen which is KS's cheapest model with a single bolt head. It never makes noise but its serrated inside the clamp.

Who's got 'em? Should be enough out there now. Was thinking about posting up when applicable this winter for fatbike rides. (Anyone will be invited of course but if you don't have a fatbike I imagine all the talk about tire pressure, and the tire choice discussions, etc becomes rather insufferable).

Last year Nox kinda turned into the "place to go when you don't wanna ride snowmobile and fire road trails" and there was a crap-ton of fatbikes there. Made for some good riding when it got packed down!

Anyone own one of these? What are your thoughts...

Looking to grab a 27.5 Butcher and Slaughter. Any local shops carry them in the valley area?

I just bought a Giant Stance 27.5 1. Been riding for about two weeks now. I use to ride bmx dirt. I'm not feeling comfortable with my bar width. My hand placement is snug up against the shift and brake set up and I find my myself constantly moving my hands outward to brake. Is this normal? I feel like where I place my hands close up is where i wanna be naturally bit so i wanna cut the bars down a little bit but then i read up on it and not so good things. Recommendations anyone?
