Ride stories, planning of rides, anything to do with riding that bike

A quickie nooner on the man, California style

Ok, This has got nothing to do with swapping keys or even bikes with your neighbor.

Had some time but not all that much and the bike was beckoning so I hit up Sals. I started out at the bottom of Constitution and instead of doing the long drawl up spany's and switcbacks, I hit the road up to the kiosk,, ducked into the woods and blasted away. The legs were super fresh from having such an easy climb making the decent all that much sweeter. I really smacked the bitches in the face and just flew back to car.

Moosic Mountain Ride Sunday

The Hubbard crew are riding Moosic Mountain tomorrow (Sunday). It is a killer, rocky loop that is impervious to rain. Ride time is about 10:00am, and it is roughly 1.5 hours from the Lehigh Valley. If you have never ridden there, it is really amazing (the rock work is incredible). I will post more info when I get it. There is a Hubbard Bike Club page on Facebook that'll have the info, too.

Mt. Gretna/ Trail 15

Anyone ever ride this? I did for the first time yesterday and had a lot of fun! Went out to visit my friend who lives in Lancaster and he took me there. The other trails were kind of meh-riffic, I started off on them before hitting 15 and was like "ohhh man it's like Jacobsburg but takes an hour and a half to get there, but I changed my tune once I hit 15. It was nice and rocky but it was at a perfect difficulty for me where some things I'd have to try a few times before I got them, but other lines I would nail the first time and surprise myself. Good stuff.

Bear Creek ride this week?

I'm planning on racing at Bear Creek, but I've never ridden there before. Anyone who knows the trails wanna come out for a couple of hours this week and ride with me? I'd prefer to ride in the morning, but I can really do it whenever.

Back to Raystown anyone?

Heading back to Raystown June 2nd to ride for a few days. I'll be camped until Saturday or Sunday the 5th. Any interest in joining me for a ride? I would be willing to share space at my camp. Best spot I found was in the Ridge camp (25$ a night with a hot shower per site) with easy access to both sides of the Allegrippis trail system.

Possible date for Blue Mtn NY trip

Say folks,
I've been checking the calendar and it looks like June 12th might be a possible day to check out blue Mtn, ny. The one catch is that the local club is hosting their fat tire festival that day so it gets a bit crowded. If the weather is good they can get 300 riders to show up. Last year you could have road and tripped with Gary Fischer. He was there to check out the local trails. Overall the festival is a good time but it won't be the same experience we had last time.

Here a link that hopefully will take you to the chatter about the festival.

Hypothetical ride at Trex - like today

Hypothetically speaking, if a group of folks wanted to get together and ride Trex, what time would said group want to get started. I mean, hypothetically of course, if I were to ride there today, I would head up there around 4ish to ride to beat some of the traffic and ride one loop and head back to the parking lot to meet up with any other possible riders - hypothetically speaking.

Would any other imaginary riders - say Wademan or the phantom Newb25 - be interested in flying around Trex. Hypothetically could anyone else make a 4ish start before joining the larger group?
