just joined the club

My name is Marvin and I joined up with you guys. I almost joined a long time ago when vmb had a paper zine. I do know Doug P, Don K, Brian H, and most of the chaingang. I probably know some of you from talking to you at Sals at one time or another. I have 5 other guys that will probably join also. I'll try to make your trail building days to help and join your rides. I ride a red rocky slayer.

Sports Science

alright, settle down, i'm not an expert and don't claim to be one (joking tone)and writing this doesn't mean your gonna take the fun out of riding. On the contrary, adding a little purposeful training to any type of riding you do whether it be rail trail, family style or hardcore singletrack can add tons of excitement and add a little pep to the daily grind. Knowing how your body acts and how to train it can make your riding even more fun and enjoyable so take this thread with that approach. I read journals not only for work but for biking related stuff. if you have info you want to share, please do, that's why i posted this.

Merry Christmas and a happy new Trail!!!

merry x-mas everyone. i hope the holidays were a treat and if you got any new stuff for the bikes let us know, that is unless your like most of us we have to hide everything so don't post.

thanks again for a great year for letting me ride with you all and absorb the sport in yet another way. the more you get into it the more niches there are you haven't experienced. Like cleaning a bike....you thought you cleaned all the mud out but there still some where you didn't expect.

happy new years to all the oldy but good riders our there, to all the riders who will be new to the sport who don't even realize it yet, all our other clubs; dirt devils, chain gang etc. We're all little parts on the crankset of life:)

Christmas Eve Ride

Sorry for the short notice, but there is a really great ride tomorrow in Mountain Top, PA. It is truly amazing riding there -- wicked singletrack that is a mix between the American Standard and Lykens, plus there are new bridges and singletrack that they are unveiling.

Mountain Top is just south of Wilkes Barre off of Route 309, and only 1 1/4 hours north of the LV. I will post directions here if anyone is interested. I hope you are, this one will be exceptional!
