I finally cracked the MACH 5 frame.. So I was at the starting line of the race when Dan saw the crack in my top tube. Thinking back after the race when Jay told me the not so nice outcomes of a frame coming apart mid ride I probably should not have raced but the adrenaline was already flowing so there was no stopping. Each Mile that past I saw the crack getting bigger and bigger and I knew I wasn’t going to take it easy so it came down to whatever happens. In the end though 1-1.5 miles from the finish line with a podium spot guaranteed the derailleur blew up so I ended up having to run the old girl to the finish line to bring in a 12th place finish... Another interesting learning experience @ the races. Look forward to this weekends race at French Creek where I will be sporting my new temporary Race bike. An EWR 29r. Which Jay assures me is the fastest bike ever known to mankind since it was conceived during his brief stay on an alien space ship. From Granogue Race
