I was over at Sals today looking around in the area below
dodson and west of the gas pipeline. I re-flagged a few spots for a trail idea there. Its looking a little mo' better! This would be an extenson of the old part of the yellow trail.
Over the weekend a few of us were hiking around near the Peak trail . If you don't know the names its on the other side of the powerline from the girlyman. There is a lot of land in there with great terrain that can be used for a very technical trail. Its possible to run this trail in a way that isn't spiderred and you wouldn't see any additional connections if you go the "normal" way at Sals-counterclockwise from Dodson.
Don't forget there is a trail extension flagged out in the creek area.This makes 3 trails under consideration to be built at Sals. Since there is already a good network of trails its a little tricky trying to lay out anything new that idn't spidered or lame. (idn't ?!)
Hopefully we'll start working on something this spring. If any of you trail explorers want to check out any of this let me know.
