Its now time for the annual Fall-Winter trailbuilding season at good 'ole Sals. We haven't done too much there lately since there is a push to get the Trexler thing happening.
Well, that is gonna change! Yours truly still likes to walk around in the woods during the afternoon when everyone else is at work. I've been looking for cool areas at Sals to add onto our existing trail system without it getting all spider-ed out.
The idea is to build more flowing and/or challenging trails. They have to feel right-no meandering stuff or straight/boring sections.
So I found some great stuff near Dodson that will make for an awesome trail. This will end up being the other part of the cool yellow loop. This trail will be steeper in sections and have some rock rides and a few little gullies and stuff. The vertical will be greater than the other part of the yellow trail.
What's pictured is what we'll work on-the connections haven't been finalized yet.
The work area is on the west side of the gas pipeline below Dodson park. Meet there at noon on Sunday. We'll flag and do some brush clearing. Maybe some raking too.
