Hiked Tinicum today...spotted a lovely little bundle of death!

Actually one of the folks I was hiking with almost stepped on it! Blended in very well with the leaves. All of us were then quite paranoid after this and treaded very carefully. We were hiking down along the river off the regular path.

The little lovely blended quite well.

Although this was a scary moment you can't help but be amazed out how beautiful these snakes are. It did not move an inch. I think it felt since we were all so much bigger it would be better to remain invisible rather than move.
