Berkshire Mountains
Any suggestions of a ride in Berkshire Mountain Area in Mass.?
Brian
I just got off the phone with Rich.
Rich thought I should post something so the members here who worked with Brian building trails at Salisbury knew.
My old pal Brian Hahl passed away today. He was just 50.
Brian was one of my very first riding buddies. Brian would always make me laugh my ass off -- always singing some stupid song as we headed into an impossible rock garden somewhere -- making it nearly impossible to actually ride. He convinced me to try my very first 24 hour race saying, "Dude, if I can do it -- you can do it." Read more »

a three hour tour... locust lake/bungalow park tr
funny how the mind remembers what it wants to remember, like the locust lake trails draining well... what does drains exceptionally well and what doesn't...well...doesn't. saturday the hubcap trail was primo with maybe one little puddle but as you descended toward the bottom the atv trails were an impassable muddy mess. i had never been up on the south side of the drainage so bw followed me up the loose rocky hike-a-bike up the power line to a decent track on that side to avoid the muddy mess below. Injuries
So, why does it seem like I have these freak injuries? I went to the orthopaedic surgeon yesterday for my shoulder. The x-ray showed a possible "bone bruise". Not broken, not fractured, but bruised. I need an MRI to really see it though. Also a possible rotator cuff issue too.

So as some of you might know I get to do a little traveling on the job. Well I try to keep it to a little anyway. After 6 hours on the road today I arrived in Manchester, NH. I found something that we have not seen, at least consistently in the valley for a while now - THE SUN. There was hardly a cloud to be found in the sky and the temp was around 70. What does this all mean and why am I posting a blog entry? Well, I found an awesome riding location just east of Manchester in Auburn, NH. Read more »

CA riding - any opinions on these 3 locations?
So here's my 3 choices for riding tomorrow in Orange County, CA:
Holy Jim, Aliso Creek, or El Moro Canyon.
Anybody hear of these places? If so, can you recommend one over the other? I'm going to be riding one of these tomorrow. This riding friend of mine is highly recommending Holy Jim, but I don't want to die - lots of climbing around here.
What a fantastic VMB weekend
Weekend started out aggravating on Friday night. The usual work crap and my cell phone ringing with that BS. But it rapidly got better once I descrambled my bike cables and got the Enduro trailworthy for Sals. Read more »
